Charming cartoon map of the City of San Francisco originally designed in 1936 for the San Frncisco-based Caricatour Company by the prolific & immensely popular female cartographer, Ruth Taylor (Taylor White) [1896-1985]. Though copyrighted in 1937 this "animated post card map" appears to have also been used as a promotional piece for the 1939 Golden Gate International Exposition, whose site is highlighted in the bottom centre of the image.
