Striking & vibrantly colorful large-scale map of Cape Cod first published in the early 1930s by East Brewster artist, Paul Fleming Paige [1890-1963]. The map highlights the principal attractions of the region, particularly as a summer vacation destination. Paige was a native of Antrim, New Hamsphire and was for many years employed as head of the Detroit MI branch of the Boston-based Forbes Lithograph Manufacturing Company. He & his family would regularly spend their summer vacations at East Brewster on Cape Cod. A wonderful rhyme in the lower left of the map clearly sums up his sentiments & those of so many other summer visitors to Cape Cod:
"If you have ever been there, this map is meant for you
To help recall some happy days beside the ocean blue;
Or you can send it to a friend, that they perhaps may see,
Why people love good old Cape Cod, and go there constantly."
